Business and Information Technology
Graduates acquire the skills and knowledge for employment in an entry-level position in the business and information technology (IT) fields. By completing core assessment tasks prior to enrolling in a training program, all clients will gain an introductory knowledge of basic computer concepts, information technology software, basic math skills, customer service skills, data entry skills, and English written and verbal comprehension skills.
Training Area Qualifications
- Meet WWRC admission criteria
- Be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Be able to perform basic mathematical problems.
- Be able to work with a computer and peripheral equipment.
- Be able to work independently in a classroom/lab setting.
- Meet prerequisites for specific training program (if applicable)

Program Length: 1200 hours, typically 192 training days or approximately 9.6 months
Admission Prerequisite:
Completion or demonstrated aptitude for the skills of the General Office and Administrative Assistant training program
Employment Options:
Business Offices of all types including: manufacturing firms, wholesale and retail trade establishments, financial institutions, and government agencies. Job titles may include Administrative Assistant, Administrative Support Specialist, Business Office Clerk, Administrative Secretary, Accounting Assistant, or Office Coordinator.

Program Length: 750 hours, typically 120 training days or approximately 6 months
Admission Prerequisite:
Completion or demonstrated aptitude for the skills of the Data Entry Clerk training program.
Employment Options:
Business Offices of all types including: manufacturing firms, wholesale and retail trade establishments, financial institutions, and government agencies. Job titles may include Data Entry Operator, Data Entry Clerk, Data Specialist, Fiscal Assistant, Data Machine Operator, or Computer Terminal Operator.

Program Length: 900 hours, typically 144 training days or approximately 7.2 months
Admission Prerequisite:
Completion or demonstrated aptitude for the skills of the Customer Service/Call Center/Retail Sales Associate training program.
Employment Options:
Business Offices of all types including: manufacturing firms, wholesale and retail trade establishments, financial institutions, and government agencies. Job titles may include Sales Associate, Sales Consultant, Customer Assistance Representative, Customer Service Representative, or Sales Person.

Admission Prerequisite:
Completion or demonstrate mastery of the skills for the Business and Information Technology core assessment
Employment Options:
Entry-level computer support specialist positions in business, industry and government agencies. Job titles include: Information Technology Specialists, Help Desk Analyst, Computer Technician, and Desktop Support Technician.
